THE CONSULTANT'S CODE OF PRACTICE

THE CONSULTANT PREFERS DOING THIS:

  • provide honest, professional and personal service to meet your specific needs and requirements;
  • provide unambiguous advice;
  • discuss all findings and reports in person;
  • produce concise reports;
  • provide you with up-to-date information on which to base your decisions;
  • telling you what the real 'state of play' is;
  • ask you for your honest opinion on the service provided in order to implement improvements or additions if relevant;
  • if specialists are required to assist, only 'competent persons' will be used with your full approval;

THE CONSULTANT WILL NOT:

  • tell you that things are good when they are not;
  • give you the same as the last Client with a new cover;
  • tell you what you must do;
  • present over lengthy and rambling reports;
  • leave you 'on your own' if any report, advice etc is queried by an external agency;
  • accept assignments beyond his ability;

YOU BENEFIT FROM:

  • knowing you have honest, professional, unambiguous advice delivered personally;
  • knowing that, so far as is reasonably practicable, you are complying with minimum standards required under current health & safety legislation;
  • being better able to identify the need for and then to prioritise your resources.
